Hammersmith commuters avoid getting wet through sterling team effort

Nobody ever wants to get wet in rain so to avoid being caught in floods at Hammersmith commuters came up with a brilliant idea to stay dry.

A make-shift bridge was created using four chairs from a branch of Pret after heavy showers on Thursday afternoon.

One after the other each person then made their way across the pavement, avoiding any contact with the water.

On Twitter one passer-by described the show of teamwork as 'the most British thing' she's ever seen!

It didn't last long though...

A worker from Pret was later seen removing the chairs and taking them back into the shop.

Ten out of ten for effort though!
