London Tonight will be live on the red carpet at the European premier of Katy's Perry's new film later.

Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D is being described as "a rare glimpse into the pop sensation's life behind the cameras.....a backstage pass, front row seat and intimate look at the fun, glamorous, heartbreaking, inspiring, crazy, magical, passionate, and honest mad diary of Katy."

Fans camp out for glimpse of Cheryl

Over 200 fans camped out in Bayswater overnight for their chance to meet Cheryl Cole.The 28-year-old singer is due to make an appearance at the HMV story at Whiteleys later today. Her new single Call My Name topped the charts yesterday, selling 152,000 copies in a week.

Willy Wonka musical coming to London

Oscar winner Sam Mendes returns to the West End next year with a new version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The show at the Palladium will have new songs from the team behind Hairspray.

There have been two hit film versions of Roald Dahl's story about chcolate factory owner Willy Wonka.

Mendes, whose first movie American Beauty won five Oscars, began his career in the West End. He is currently working on the latest James Bond movie.

The 46-year-old from Reading was married to Kate Winslet for seven years. They separated in 2010.
