A Pimlico woman who was killed in a car crash on Easter Sunday in West Sussex has been named as Hawerun Nessa.
She was travelling with two other adults and two toddlers, who all suffered serious injuries and are believed to be from the same family.
– Sergeant Paul Skinner, Sussex Police
This is a desperately tragic incident that has left a toddler fighting for her life. A full investigation is now under way and I would ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen either of the cars in the area in the time leading up to the crash, to please call Sussex Police.
The road was closed for just over five hours while rescue and recovery work took place and while I appreciate that this did cause traffic problems in the area, I am sure people will appreciate the seriousness of this incident and I thank them for their patience and understanding.
An investigation is under way into a fatal road crash involving six members of the same family from Pimlico.
Sussex Police say a 56-year-old woman died when a VW Golf and a Honda Accord collided on the A24 near Warnham in West Sussex at about 11:30 on Sunday.
An 18-month-old girl was critically injured and two toddlers and two adults in the Honda were seriously hurt.
