The family of Claire Squires, who died during the London Marathon on Sunday, has urged people to keep donating to her internet sponsorship page. Since the 30 year-old collapsed near the end of the marathon, hundreds of thousands of pounds have been donated to her chosen charity, the Samaritans.

The woman who collapsed and died during the London Marathon has been named in reports as Claire Squires from North Kilworth in Leicestershire. She was running the marathon to raise money for the Samaritans.
Tests are being carried out on the body of a 30 year-old female runner who collapsed and died on Birdcage Walk just before the end of the London Marathon course. The marathon organisers have offered their sympathies to her family. It was the first fatality at the event since 2007.
