Today is the deadline for taxi firm Addison Lee to remove cigarette bins from Westminster- after it lost a court case brought against it by Westminster City Council.
The company has been providing and maintaining the bins free of charge since the start of the smoking ban in 2007.
Westminster Council however, considers then to be unauthorised advertising because they carry the companies' name, and last year took them to court.
Addison Lee say that the decision will simply mean there are more cigarette butts on the streets.
Addison Lee's owner John Griffin has accused the council of acting perversely by seeking to remove the bins while fining smokers for dropping butts.
