NHS to set up profit making branches abroad

NHS hospitals in London are to be encouraged by the government to sell their services abroad to raise money for patients in the capital.

Great Ormond Street and the Royal Marsden are among those to be invited to set up branches overseas.

But opponents say the only focus of an NHS hospital should be to treat patients on the NHS.
