Tributes to Brixton boy

Locals have been paying tributes to a 15-year-old boy who died on Thursday night in Brixton. He died of serious injuries, thought to be stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Flowers were laid on the Loughborough Estate, where the incident took place.

Local resident Dawn Pusey said:

It's sad that the youths are thinking about killing each other instead of their education.

"Parents are frightened to parent their children. If they reprimand them, the child goes to a social worker and the parents are in trouble. I was disciplined when I was a child, and I always took notice of what my mother and father said. Children don't do that now.

What happened here could have happened to my son, it could have happened to my friends' children. It's very sad, my prayers go out to this woman."
