Windsor to help raise £1 million on London Poppy Day
Actress Barbara Windsor will take to the tannoy at Tube stations on London Poppy Day to raise money for the Royal British Legion. She will ask the public to donate money for a poppy.
Windsor said: "We want this year desperately to get to a million."
Barbara Windsor, star of the Carry on films and Eastenders, is joining forces with the Royal British Legion to raise money this year.
On November 1st, which is London Poppy Day, the actress will take to the tannoy at London Underground stations to ask the public to donate money for a poppy. This year the charity hopes to raise £1 million.
