Two Britons arrested on terrorism charges at Heathrow Airport are suspected of involvement in the kidnap of a British photographer in Syria.
Scotland Yard has confirmed that the pair - who were detained at the airport after arriving on a flight from Egypt last night - will be questioned over the abduction of John Cantile.
He was held for a week in Syria, after being abducted together with a Dutch photographer.
Mr Cantlie said that one of his captors had claimed to be an NHS doctor, telling the Daily Mail that he had a south London accent and had used saline drips with NHS logos on them. The pair of photojournalists eventually managed to escape with the help of rebel fighters.
