Man found guilty for Kirsty Treloar murder

A 19 year-old man was jailed for at least 28 years today for killing his girlfriend, hours after making a New Year resolution to stop attacking her.

Myles Williams from Hackney was sentenced today at the Old Bailey after being found guilty in September of murdering 20 year-old Kirsty Treloar.

Williams stabbed Miss Treloar 29 times, just three weeks after she gave birth to their baby. He also wounded her brother and sister.

Hours before the attack, he had texted Miss Treloar promising never to hit her again.

Judge Nicholas Cooke told him: "Beyond a shadow of doubt, you represent an exceptional danger to any future female partners."
