Ofsted's Chief Inspector Michael Wilshaw has released his annual report Credit: PA Wire

Bracknell Forest is the top of Ofsted's latest list of good and outstanding early years provision in the country. Bromley, Kingston upon Thames, Richmond upon Thames, Southend on Sea and Sutton also make the top ten.

Brent is at the bottom of the list, with Haringey and Newham also in the bottom ten.

Early years provision is the largest of all the sectors that Ofsted inspects, with just under 82,000 childcare providers on the Early Years Register. The majority of childcare is within pre-school groups, with childminders providing less than a quarter of childcare places.
