A temporary wooden footbridge has been built at St Johns in Deptford, where residents claim they endured four days of Christmas misery.
Rail bosses have been forced to apologise after people living in a part of south London complained of a Christmas ruined by engineering work.
Residents in Deptford were told by Network Rail that work to replace a bridge would be finished by the new year, but that hasn't been the case, as Simon Harris reports.
Deptford resident Laura Ballard said: "All the lorries have been turning here. Coming on and off site.
"We've had men parking here, who are not supposed to be parking here all through the night, coming back to their vehicles, laughing, shouting, joking, slamming their doors, changing their outfits before going home. It's not acceptable.
"They were told they were not supposed to park here. This has been going on since July or August."
