Bali drugs man jailed for 6 years
A Londoner has been sentenced to six years by a court in Bali after being convicted of possessing drugs. Julian Ponder was detained after the arrest of British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford. He had earlier been cleared of drugs smuggling.
Briton's lawyer grateful to judge for six year sentence
The Indonesian lawyer for Julian Ponder - one of the Britons convicted of drugs offences - has said the six-year prison sentence is "moderate" and that he is thankful for the judge's leniency.
Asked whether he would appeal, Ary Sunardi said he would need to consult with Mr Ponder and that he he will "strongly advise" him not to appeal.
