Fatal stabbing in Wandsworth

Police have launched a murder enquiry after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Wandsworth.

A man will appear in court today charged with the murder of a 16-year-old in south-west London.

Peter Hagan was found stabbed to death in the stairwell of a block of flats in Wandsworth on Sunday.

New incident room opened

Police have issued a new incident room number in Belgravia following the murder of Peter Hagan in Wandsworth on Sunday. Police were alerted by London Ambulance on Sunday morning to a youth stabbed in the area.

Scotland Yard says the victim was at a ground floor stairwell at a block of flats in Neville Gill Close in SW18. He was confirmed dead at the scene. A post mortem examination has begun.

Stabbing victim named

The 16 year old stabbed to death in Wandsworth at the weekend has been named as Peter Hagan. He was found in a ground floor stairwell at a block of flats - Albon House in Neville Gill Close, SW18 and was confirmed dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Scola of the Homicide & Serious Crime Command said:

"I believe the victim had attended a party in Albon House. I need to trace everyone at that party, and in particular I am appealing for any information about a group of between five and eight males seen running from the scene into the surrounding streets and possibly through King George's Park."

Wandsworth stabbing: several arrests made

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Scola, of the Metropolitan Police, is appealing for witnesses to come forward:

"I believe the victim had attended a party in Albon House. I need to trace everyone at that party, and in particular I am appealing for any information about a group of between five and eight males seen running from the scene into the surrounding streets and possibly through King George's Park."

A number of people have been arrested in connection with the inquiry and are now in custody at various police stations in south and central London.

Police have launched a murder enquiry after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in south London in the early hours of this morning.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, in a ground-floor stairwell at a block of flats in Wandsworth - Albon House in Neville Gill Close.

Next of kin have been informed, but the victim has yet to be formally identified.
