A girl from Enfield has become the youngest ever female to Kayak across the English Channel.

Maia Wallace-Loizou did it to raise money for the The Leaside Trust, who provide outdoor activities for disadvantaged young people.

A girl from Enfield has become the youngest ever female to Kayak across the English Channel.

Maia Wallace-Loizou completed the voyage with 15-year old Dylan Barber-May to raise money for the The Leaside Trust, a charity that they both attend in Hackney.

Leaside provides outdoor activities for disadvantaged young people, including kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking and orienteering. They also take inner-city children on adventure trips all over the UK.

Dylan and Maia paddled 20 miles across the Channel in 4 hours 15 minutes
