A taxpayer bailout to safeguard a Crossrail station at Woolwich looks increasingly likely.

It was suggested today that a station built just for Crossrail may never actually see any passengers.
A property development company has spent £80 million building a station at Woolwich.
But it claims it could now be left empty over a dispute about who pays for the rest of it.
If the money isn't found, south London would be denied a vital rail link.
