Work's begun today on adding to the capital's much-loved green spaces.
It's a programme designed to create dozens of so-called "pocket parks".
These are slivers of land - currently un-loved - which can be transformed, with a touch of TLC and a dollop of money from City Hall.
Martin Stew reports.
Work has begun on London's 'pocket parks' across the city.
The aim of the scheme is to transform small-sized underused urban spaces across the capital.
One of the first will be behind a bus stop in Stockwell and will grow vegetables, herbs and fruit.
