The Tour of Britain race director described the 2013 route as the "most gruelling" yet. Mick Bennett revealed the route at a press conference in Covent Garden this evening - it will visit Surrey before finishing in London.
The Tour of Britain's penultimate stage on September 21st will go through Surrey from Epsom to Guildford:
- East Horsley
- Holmbury St Mary
On the next day, the Tour will race round the centre of London - starting in Whitehall, going to Trafalgar Square, along the river to the Tower of London before returning to the finish in Whitehall.
The route for cycling's 2013 Tour of Britain was unveiled today and it includes both Surrey and London. The race's penultimate stage will be from Epsom to Guildford on Saturday 21st September before it finishes in London on Sunday 22nd.
