A five year old girl who was told she would never walk again after being shot has taken her first steps.
Thusha Kamaleswaran, who is now seven, was playing in her uncle's shop in South London when she was caught in gang crossfire two years ago.

In March 2011, Thusha Kamaleswaran, five, was caught in gang crossfire as she played in her uncle's shop in Stockwell.
She was left paralysed by the attack and her family were told that she would never walk again.

Thusha Kamaleswaran, who was five years old when she was shot in the spine during a gang fight in her uncle's shop, has taken her first steps. Appearing on the Daybreak sofa this morning, she said she still dreamed of being a dancer.
