A plane, built from scratch by a group of schoolchildren in Hampshire has taken off from Farnborough Airfield at last. Its inaugural flight was delayed by bad weather this morning.
The entire project also took about three years longer than expected, because the pupils, from Yateley School, only had time to work on it after school. It is part of a scheme by the Royal Aeronautical Society to get children involved in engineering.
Pupils from Yateley School may have to wait to see if their hard work has paid off. After building their own plane, today was due to be its first flight. But it's been delayed so far due to the wet and windy weather.
