Geoffrey Bacon was attacked late at night on in April 2010 as he entered his home on the Peabody Estate close to Camberwell Green. He died from his injuries in August that year. Geoffrey's attacker left him on the floor after taking his wallet containing his Freedom Pass and £40.

Three years on from the murder of a 90 year old Second World War veteran, detectives are making a fresh appeal for help to find his killer. A reward of £20, 000 was offered for information leading to the prosecution of the person responsible, but Geoffrey Bacon's death remains unsolved.
