Police say that a man who died after an attack in Islington in the early hours of Saturday morning was the victim of a targeted attack. They say the 20-year-old was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Third man charged with 'targeted' Islington murder

A third man has been charged with the murder of Mohamed Abdullahi in Islington.

A post-mortem examination on June 29, at the Whittington Hospital mortuary gave cause of death as stab wounds.

Calvin Jerelle Collins, 19, was charged yesterday with murder, and is due to appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court today, along with two other men.

Police have charged two men with the murder of Mohamed Abdullahi in Islington.

Kyle Sober-Froud, 19, and Dean Winston, 19, will appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court this morning.

Police have named the victim of an attack in Camden as Mohamed Abdullahi, 20 who lived in Kentish Town.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman were arrested and are currently in custody at a north London police station.

A post-mortem examination on Saturday, 29 June, at the Whittington Hospital mortuary gave cause of death as stab wounds.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner who is heading the investigation said:

"I need to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the York Way area early on Saturday morning."

Police say that a man who died after an attack in Islington in the early hours of Saturday morning was the victim of a targeted attack.

They say the 20-year-old was taken to the Royal London Hospital, suffering from serious injuries, where he was pronounced dead.

The man has not been named, but police say his next of kin have been informed.

So far no arrests have been made.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner, has appealed for anyone who was in the area at around 1am to come forward.

We are at the early stage of a murder investigation and we must retain an open mind, however we believe this to have been a targeted attack on the victim.

I need to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the York Way area early on Saturday morning.

In particular, I need to hear from anyone who saw a group of three or four males near to Aspendos Bar and Grill in York Way close to the junction with Camden Road, at around 0045hrs.

Police investigate "suspicious death"

Police are investigating after a man in his twenties was found with serious injuries in the York Way area of Camden in the early hours of this morning. The man was taken to an East London hospital where he was pronounced dead. Next of kin are aware and a post mortem is due to be carried out.
