The Mayor of London will announce the £2 million fund later on today.

London parks and waterways to benefit from £2m fund

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson will announce a new £2 million fund to go towards projects in London which improve access to the capital's green spaces and waterways.

The Big Green Fund, as it's known, will give up to £420,000 to six projects across London.

The Fund builds on plans already in motion to make London a greener city, including the creation of 100 pocket parks and the planting of 10,000 more street trees in the next two years.
