Battersea Dogs and Cats Home welcomed a visit from David Cameron today as he went to meet its 1000th volunteer.
But he failed to impress Bertie the terrier puppy, who wouldn't sit still for the cameras.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is today celebrating after recruiting its 1000th volunteer. The Prime Minister praised the "fantastic" work of volunteers at the charity as he was given a tour of the site.

The Prime Minister visited the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to celebrate the charity's 1000th volunteer.
David Cameron later tweeted: "The 1000th volunteer at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, James Moore, showing me Bertie the dog. They do a great job".
