A man is due in court charged with the murder of 24-year-old nursery teacher Sabrina Moss, who was gunned down on Saturday as she celebrated her birthday in Kilburn.

Martell Warren, who's 22, is also charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Sabrina was shot in the chest near a fast food restaurant, and later died in hospital. Police say they believe she and her friend, who was also injured in the attack, were "in the wrong place at the wrong time" and were not Mr Martell's intended targets.

Woman shot alongside teacher deemed 'courageous'

The family of the 24-year-old girl shot alongside nursery teacher Sabrina Moss on Saturday has said that Sabrina Gachete is a "loving and courageous" individual.

The Metropolitan Police issued a statement on behalf of the family of Ms Gachete:

Sabrina is a loving, courageous, wise and caring individual. She is not only a daughter and sister but an aunty, she was looking forward to the future but this has now been destroyed. No words can describe how we feel as a family.

Sabrina is currently traumatised. We hope she doesn't only get through this but also the death of her beloved friend, Sabrina (Moss). We would ask anyone who saw what happened to Sabrina, and her friend, to help the police and tell them what they know.
