Have you ever wondered what actually goes on inside 10 Downing Street, the Treasury or Battersea Power Station? Well this weekend seven hundred buildings usually closed to the public will throw open their doors for the annual Open House.
The event offers a chance to see the inner workings of famous addresses as well as hidden gems - as Martin Stew reports.

Did you know there was a windmill in Brixton? Have you ever wondered what is actually inside Battersea Power Station?
This weekend you can find out at the Open House Event which sees more than 800 private buildings in the capital open their doors to the public.
Places like 10 Downing Street and the Shard are taking part but tickets were balloted earlier this month.
But do not despair! There are still 700 iconic buildings and homes that are completely free to visit this weekend.
Battersea Power Station is working on a first come, first serve basis this weekend. There will only be queuing if necessary.
Lloyds of London, is a key example of the British High -Tech architecture, and is also working on a first come, first serve basis. There may be queuing.
One of London's last surviving windmills is in Brixton. There are half-hourly tours this weekend that last 40 minutes. These must be pre-booked. Shorter tours. 20 minutes long are available though on a first come, first serve basis.
