The skies above Surrey said a final farewell to an iconic part of aviation history today. The world famous VC10 is a British-built aircraft that was the preferred choice for Margaret Thatcher and the Royal Family - and today it took off for the final time from Brize Norton. Simon Harris reports.
The Royal Air Force gave the VC10 a fitting send off today as the aircraft completed the final mission after more than 50 years of military service. The long-serving VC10 is being replaced by Britain's largest ever military aircraft, the Voyager.
