The easy Jet flight carrying 151 passengers diverted due to a security scare was a false alarm it has been announced.
The flight EZY2324 between Hamburg and London's Luton Airport was diverted to Stansted Airport as a precautionary measure.
An Essex Policespokesman said there was no security threat.
"The aircraft landed safely at around 17:30 and on arrival was met by the police who are now on-board the aircraft," the spokeswoman said.
A Stansted spokesperson has released a statement after an easyJet plane was diverted to the airport.
An Easyjet flight from Hamburg to Luton has been diverted to Stansted over a security alert, it has been reported.
The plane is on the ground, and the passengers remain on board. Essex Police are believed to be attending the incident.
