Operation Bumblebee will see the Met use tactics such as predictive policing, which enables officers to identify where certain crimes are more likely to be repeated.

It uses a specially designed computer algorithm to produce crime maps, to direct officers to areas where they can detect and prevent burglaries.

The Met Police has put together a 'virtual house tour' to help residents keep burglars out.
