The Met Police has unveiled a new approach to tackling burglars who use the darker nights to break in to more homes.
Operation Bumblebee will see the Met use tactics such as predictive policing, which enables officers to identify where certain crimes are more likely to be repeated.
It uses a specially designed computer algorithm to produce crime maps, to direct officers to areas where they can detect and prevent burglaries.
The Met Police has put together a 'virtual house tour' to help residents keep burglars out.
