The Ministry of Defence has carried out a controlled explosion on a suspected World War Two bomb near Chelmsford in Essex.
Police say the device was "inert" and would not have caused an explosion.
A residential street in Essex has been evacuated after a World War Two bomb was discovered. Police say the device was found on Church Road in Boreham near Chelmsford. A Ministry of Defence bomb disposal unit is on the way.
