Police investigating a body found in a well in Surrey have established that the victim was bound up before being place in the well by a third party around two years ago.
Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons, who leads the investigation, revealed:
Seven men, aged between 21 and 27, will continue to be questioned today after being arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body in a well in Surrey.
The body was recovered by specialist diving teams yesterday at a large property in Audley Drive, Warlingham.
A post-mortem is due to take place at East Surrey Hospital mortuary today.

He said: "It's not been there for an extended period of time, it will be a matter of weeks at the most."
He was not prepared to discuss who lives in the house, or a suggestion that the body was wrapped in carpet. He could not confirm or deny whether the body was intact.
Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons confirmed that residents on the street where a body has been found in an ornamental well outside a house had previously "expressed concern" about the the people who lived there.
Asked about claims by local residents that there had been trouble over the past couple of years with the people who lived in the house, and that police had been called many times, he said: "The residents have expressed concern, there is intelligence to support that notion, yes."
He said removing the body would take at least the best part of today.
