£15,000 reward over murderer

Police hunting for convicted murderer Lerone Boye have increased the reward on offer to £15,000 and issued new images.

Escaped convicted murderer may be in east London

Lerone Boye was sentenced to 28 years in December for the murder of 17-year-old Kelvin Chibueze who was stabbed to death at a birthday party in Ilford in August 2011.

  • Scotland Yard said there is "some intelligence to suggest" that Boye may be in the east London area
  • He is also known to have links to Barking, Newham and Ilford
  • Boye is as a slim, black man who is 5ft 10ins tall. He has a distinctive horseshoe shape scar on his right cheek and a gold tooth in his upper row of teeth

Reward increased to £15,000 to find missing murderer

Police hunting for convicted murderer Lerone Boye have increased the reward on offer to £15,000. The 27-year-old has not been seen since escaping from the John Howard Centre in Kenworthy Road in Homerton on October 16.

Detectives previously offered up to £10,000 for information leading to his arrest. Crimestoppers have now boosted the reward by a further £5,000, available to anyone who provides information directly to them on 0800 555 111.
