Mary Konye denies comparing a picture of Freddie Krugger she'd posted online to the victim after the attack with caption, "Who looks like Wrong Turn [film name] now?".

Accused tells the jury:

I've never made such a threat in my whole life. I've never threatened to throw acid in anyone's face.

A woman accused of disguising herself in full veil, before throwing acid at her friend because she was jealous of her good looks is giving evidence in her defence.

Mary Koyne broke down in tears as she described being arrested as she was about to take final degree exams. Konye describes being "really, really close" to the victim when they were at secondary school.

She tells the jury she was so close to the victim that at one point they would speak and message each other every day.

Naomi Oni suffered serious burns to her face and chest, lost her hair and eyelashes and was left scarred for life by an attack on December 30, 2012.
