Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was killed in a 'hit-and-run' incident in Clapham, south London.

'Hit-and-run' victim named by police

A 26-year-old cyclist killed in a 'hit-and-run' collision in Clapham has been named as Leon Richards.

Police are attempting to trace a black BMW 5 series with black tinted windows which was seen fleeing the scene on Friday morning.

Mr Richards, from south Lambeth, died in hospital on Saturday.

No arrests have been made so far, although enquiries are ongoing.

A 26-year-old cyclist was killed in the incident on Friday morning.

The black BMW 5 series with black tinted windows was seen in Clapham High Street prior to the incident, before it carried on on north on Clapham Manor Street after the incident.

No arrests have been made so far but officers are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them as soon as possible.

The 26-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital after the collision in Clapham Manor Street on Friday morning, where he died on Saturday.

After the incident a black BMW 5 series with black tinted windows was seen leaving the scene.

Police said the victim's next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
