Tottenham murder victim named

Police investigating the murder of a man in Tottenham on Sunday have named the victim as Franciszek Karol Malinkowski. The 51-year-old construction worker was originally from Poland and lived in Finsbury Park.

His body was found on an overgrown waste ground between Ermine road and the railway line.

Three men have been arrested after the body of a man was found near a railway track in Tottenham.

The men - aged 32, 50 and 30 - were detained near the scene close to Ermine Road and have been taken into custody at a north London police station.

Police said anyone with information who could assist the investigation should call on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A murder investigation has been launched after a man's body was discovered near a railway line in Tottenham.

Police were called at around 11.35am on Sunday to reports of a body on overgrown open ground near Ermine Road.

Officers attended and the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was found with a suspected head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have not yet been informed and the police are trying to trace them.

A post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
