Closures and delays on trains and Tube

Tube and train services in London and the Home Counties were hit by flooding as Britain was battered by the fallout from a tropical storm.

London Underground suspended trains on two lines and closed stations platforms.

South West Trains reported flooding between Surbiton and Weybridge and at Clandon in Surrey.

It meant no trains between Guildford and Effingham Junction and disruption to services between Wimbledon and Woking.

London Underground shut the District Line between Richmond and Turnham Green and the Metropolitan Line from Wembley Park to Aldgate.

Flooding led to platform closures at Euston Square, Bayswater, Turnpike Lane and Paddington.
