We have charged a sixteen year-old male with Aqeel’s murder and although we are currently not looking for any other suspects at this time, we are still keen to speak with witnesses to this incident.

16-year-old boy charged with killing man in Watford

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a man in Watford.

Aqeel Khan, who is 18, was found with suspected stab wounds in Croxley View on Friday.

He was taken to Watford General Hospital where he died a short time later.

The 16-year-old, who is from Watford and cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Hatfield remand court on Sunday was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear before St Alban’s Youth Court on Wednesday.

A 15-year-old boy, also from Watford, who was also arrested as part of the investigation has been charged with affray and has been bailed to appear before St Alban’s Youth Court on 10th September.

Two further male youths who were arrested as part of the investigation have been released with no further action being taken.
