A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering teenager Alan Cartwright, who was stabbed to death while riding a bicycle with his friends.
Police said an 18-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of today after attending a north London police station.
Alan's family yesterday appealed for witnesses to come forward after the 15-year-old was killed on Friday in what was described as a "senseless" attack.

Officers investigating the murder of a 15-year-old boy in Islington have released the victim's name.
Although formal identification hasn't yet taken place, the Metropolitan Police said the dead teenager was Alan Cartwright from Islington.
Police were called to Caledonian Road just after 7.30pm to reports of a boy collapsed in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The police are continuing to appeal for information.
