A1960s Jaguar that lay hidden in a garage for three decades was sold for more than £100,000 at a car auction today.

The Jaguar E-Type roadster, one of the earliest surviving examples of theright-hand drive model, was sold in the Bonhams auction at the RAF Museum in Hendon, north west London.

Bought by its current owner in 1965 but taken off the road in the early 1980s, the unrestored Jaguar raised £109,020 - more than treble its estimate of £25,000-£30,000.
