An £8m project to redevelop the Earls Court Exhibition Centre could be in jeopardy, after Labour's shock victory in the Hammersmith and Fulham Council election.
Labour pledged in its manifesto to stop project which involves bulldozing 760 homes, and building 7.500 new ones. But experts say doing so could bring the council to its knees.

Robert Richard Fraser has been arrested by police following the murder of London sex worker Maria Duque-Tunjano.
Fraser was arrested last night in the Leicester Square area of London following appeals by the Metropolitan Police. He has been taken to a central London police station for questioning.
Police investigating the murder of a prostitute in West London have released CCTV footage of a man they are trying to track down. The body of Maria Duque-Tunjano was discovered at a flat in Earls Court on Friday.
Police also want to speak to Robert Richard Fraser an attack on another sex worker in Paddington. Fraser is also known as Robert Aleem and Shia Robert Jackson, and Scotland Yard says that anyone who sees him should call 999 immediately.
The CCTV footage was taken in central London on Sunday 2 February, and detectives believe that he may still be in central or north west London.
Detectives hunting a man wanted in connection with a sex worker killing said that it is "imperative" they trace him "as soon as possible".
Robert Richard Fraser is wanted in connection with the death of prostitute Maria Duque-Tunjano and an attack on another woman in Paddington, London.
Detectives are hunting for a man suspected of murdering a sex worker in west London.
Maria Duque-Tunjano, 48, who was a British national originally from Colombia, was found dead on Friday in a flat in Earls Court.
She had died after being hit over the head with a blunt object, a post mortem examination found.
Robert Richard Fraser, also known as Robert Aleem and Shia Robert Jackson, is wanted in connection with the murder and police also want to question him about another attack that took place in Paddington.
Police enquiries found that Ms Duque-Tunjano was a sex worker and it is believed she was robbed of a quantity of money during the attack.

There are calls for an urgent rethink of plans to redevelop Earls Court.
There are proposals to knock down the exhibition centre to make way for houses.
Hammersmith MP Andy Slaughter will table an adjournment debate at Westminster later, arguing for an alternative plan.
Police also want to track down the woman who was being kicked on the floor. She is described as:
- White, with straight blonde shoulder length hair, approximately 5ft 8 inches and was wearing pale coloured clothes

Police have described the two suspects they're looking for as:
- Black, in his early 20s between 5ft 8 inches and 5ft 10 inches tall, and of average build. He was wearing dark clothes and a hooded top
- Black, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, of average build. He was wearing dark clothing
A pensioner has been slashed in the face with a knife in west London while trying to stop a woman being assaulted. The 66-year-old was attacked last Saturday on West Cromwell Road.
Just before 7pm, the pensioner noticed two men kicking a woman on the floor. As he tried to stop them, the he punched one of the suspects in the face - but was then attacked and slashed with the knife.
Developers at Earl Court are planning to create a village with around 7,500 new homes as well as new office spaces set to generate up to 12,000 new jobs, according to Terry Farrell and Partners in charge of the 'Earls Court Masterplan'.
