Man and woman in court after unresponsive baby found on bus

A man and woman have appeared in court charged with murder after their baby was found unresponsive on a bus in east London.

The three-month-old girl was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead.

Rosalin Baker, 25, and Jeffrey Wiltshire, 52, appeared at Thames Magistrates Court charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of or serious physical harm to a child, and child neglect.

The pair, both from East Ham, east London, will appear at the Old Bailed on Tuesday.

The baby was found just before 10.30am on Wednesday in Stratford. A post-mortem examination later found she died from head injuries.



East Ham identified as 'first-party fraud hotspot'

London is still the leading location for first-party fraud, according to a new report by credit checking agency Experian.

First-party fraud is where genuine individuals attempt to change their circumstances or hide adverse financial information to obtain credit which they may not be in a position to afford.
