Former Gillingham and Charlton goalkeeper, George Howard, is fighting for life after being involved in a car crash while on holiday in South Africa. The 20-year-old, from Rainham, is in a coma and being kept on life support.
A 17 year-old boy from Rochester has been charged after a fan attacked Wycombe player Jordan Archer during last night's match at Gillingham. The goalkeeper was placing the ball for a goalkick when the supporter ran onto the pitch and shoved him to the ground. Stewards quickly dealt with the fan.
The 17 year-old has been freed on bail and will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on March 12th.
