The world's last surviving grand music hall, has been given £56,000 to help its plans for restoration. Wilton's Music Hall was built in the mid 19th Century and in 2007 it was listed by the World Monuments Fund as one of 100 locations of cultural importance which are under threat.

The money from the Heritage Lottery Fund will help campaigners shape their plans to apply for a grant of 1.6-million pounds.
