The Great Drag Race will see hundreds of burly blokes running 10k around Highbury Fields this afternoon to quite literally drag the issue of prostate cancer into the spotlight. Prostate cancer deaths spiked this year and London suffers some of the highest rates in the country.
A 57-year-old man from South Woodford has been charged with the murder of a woman who went missing 17 years ago.
Jane Harrison, a 32-year-old single mother from Highbury, disappeared on 15 June 1995. She was last seen that afternoon in the Wood Green Shopping City.
Her body has never been found, but police launched a murder investigation in August 2010.
A fire at a builder's warehouse in Green Lanes caused long tailbacks in Highbury today.
