Stansted Airport is using Suffolk Punches to help it manage woodland at the end of the runway. The Essex airport owns the 40 hectare site and says it wants to encourage wildlife. The horses are helping to remove felled wood, which is recycled or used as fuel for the terminal building.

A statement from Darent Valley Hospital has been released concerning the death of a woman in a field nearby. Her body was discovered on Friday.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the lady who was killed in this tragic incident.
She came into the Emergency Department at Darent Valley late on Thursday evening, was assessed and was admitted to our Clinical Decisions Unit. Doctors advised her to stay in hospital for further treatment. However, she took the decision to leave the hospital.”
Post mortem results expected on woman killed by horse
The results of a post mortem examination are expected today after a woman was believed to have been killed by a horse in Kent. The body of the 53 year old, who was from Gravesend, was found in a field in Darenth Wood Road near to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.

A police spokesman said the death of the woman, from Gravesend, is not being treated as suspicious. He said the horse had not been put down following the discovery of the woman's body, although it's believed the stallion may have caused her death.
Kent Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
