Eight people have been arrested in connection with the shooting of 8-year-old Imani Green, the British girl who was killed in Jamaica, according to the BBC.
Deputy Supt Steve Brown said the eight were being questioned following their arrests, the website reports.
An 8 year old girl from South London has been shot dead while on holiday with her family in Jamaica. Imani Green was killed when violence broke out at a cafe owned by her cousin. The news has sent shockwaves through the close knit community in Balham where she lived. Glen Goodman reports.
Imani Green, the eight year old girl shot dead in Jamaica has been described by her uncle Mitcham Brown as a "quiet, lovely, friendly girl" who had only just begun to grow in confidence.
Mr Brown explained how Imani had sickle cell anaemia as well as a hole in her heart.
He said she would travel to Jamaica every winter with her family because the warm weather helped with her condition.
