Man found guilty for Kirsty Treloar murder

A 19 year-old man was jailed for at least 28 years today for killing his girlfriend, hours after making a New Year resolution to stop attacking her.

Myles Williams from Hackney was sentenced today at the Old Bailey after being found guilty in September of murdering 20 year-old Kirsty Treloar.

Williams stabbed Miss Treloar 29 times, just three weeks after she gave birth to their baby. He also wounded her brother and sister.

Hours before the attack, he had texted Miss Treloar promising never to hit her again.

Judge Nicholas Cooke told him: "Beyond a shadow of doubt, you represent an exceptional danger to any future female partners."

The sentencing of a man facing life for killing his girlfriend within hours of making a New Year resolution never to hurt her again has been adjourned.

Myles Williams, 19, was found guilty last week of murdering Kirsty Treloar, 20, and wounding her brother and sister in January.

Miss Treloar was stabbed 29 times by Williams, just three weeks after she gave birth to their baby.

Williams, of Hackney, east London, had been due to be jailed today but was remanded in custody to a date to be fixed for further reports to be prepared.

A man is facing a life sentence for killing his girlfriend within hours of making a New Year resolution never to hurt her again.

Myles Williams, 19, has been found guilty of murdering Kirsty Treloar, 20, and wounding her brother and sister.

He will be sentenced on Wednesday 26th September at the Old Bailey.

Miss Treloar was stabbed 29 times by Williams, just three weeks after she gave birth to their baby.

Earlier, he sent her a text at 11pm on New Year's Day saying:

"Okay wer all gud now and my new yrs ressy is that i aint going to hit u again and i won't hit u 4 this yr next yr the yr after that the next yr after that."

It ended: "But I wont u to swear on (their daughter's) life u wont piss me off and do things to make me angry love you 4 eva."
