A millionaire's daughter could be jailed today after she was convicted of driving looters on a late-night crime spree at the height of last summer's riots.
University-educated Laura Johnson, 20, chauffeured the group through London on August 8 last year in her black Smart car.
Our reporter Martin Stew sent this report from Inner London Crown Court:
Laura Johnson is being cross examined by the prosecution during her trial.
The 20 year old from Orpington stands trial for burglary during the summer riots.
The former grammar school student told the court yesterday that she was forced to drive four men around on an eight hour looting spree.
Miss Johnson claims to have been treated for mental health issues and was emotionally vulnerable following a double rape.
The prosecution today questioned the validity of that rape claim and attempted to show Miss Johnson as being willingly complicit in the looting.
The court heard how she had exchanged numerous 'flirty' Blackberry messages with 'T Man', one of the alleged looters she is accused of driving around.
The court also heard that there were opportunities to call the police which weren't taken, a claim Miss Johnson denies.
Miss Johnson denies the charges, the case continues.
