400 boats on display at the London Boat Show

Boat enthusiasts have just over a week to catch a glimpse of some of the world's most luxurious boats at The London International Boat Show. It attracted large crowds on its opening day, along with some star power. Singer Nicole Scherzinger attended the event, unveiling Sunseeker International's new boat, the Predator 57.

There are close to 400 boats on show, which range in value from just £300 to £4.5 million. The biggest boat at the event is the Sunseeker 28 Metre Yacht measuring 92ft. On the other end of the scale is the 8ft RibeyeTL240. It is the show's 61st event. It runs until Sunday January 18.

Boats worth millions carefully hoisted into Excel

Yachts and powerboats worth millions of pounds have been painstakingly lifted into place ahead of next month's CWM FX London Boat Show at the ExCel.

The 61st annual London Boat show, will run from January 9 - 18.

There will be almost 400 boats on display, including these yachts which were precariously lifted out of the Thames earlier this week by a team of engineers.

A full range of vessels will be on display from £300 boats right up to £4.7million luxury yachts, ranging from a tiny 8ft Ribeye TL240 up to the colossal Sunseeker yacht which measures 92ft.

Final preparations made for East London boat show

It was land ahoy for a superyacht in East London this morning.

The multi-million pound boat, weighing in at 56 tonnes, will be among the exhibits in next month's London Boat Show at ExCeL London.

A huge 500-tonne crane had been brought in to do the heavy work and the lifting operation took about an hour.

It is the first of more than 20 superyachts to be lifted from the water and transported into the exhibition hall over the next three days.

The London Boat Show, now in its 59th year, opens on 12th January 2013 and is a showcase for both British and international boat manufacturers.

Murray Ellis, the Managing Director of the National Boat Shows, told ITV London: "It's a unique setting ... and we put everything under one roof. It's the first show in the calendar of boat shows worldwide, it's the place to be, and we're very proud of it."

London Boat Show will be key sailing event

The London Boat Show, a key event for sailing, runs from January 12 to January 20, at London's ExCeL Centre.

The show will host boats of every shape, size and variety as well as everything a boat owner could possibly need and more - with both power and sail boats on boardwalks.

During the nine-day show leading British and international boat and product manufacturers will be showcasing the newest creations and brands. Show visitors will be the first to see world, European and UK launches from leading companies before anyone else.
