Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper paid tribute to Malcolm Wicks at the time of his death.
Malcolm did a lot of work, not just on energy but also on carers, on pensions...helping people. We should be grateful to him for that. We'll miss him badly and we should respect the huge contribution he made."
Malcolm Wicks lost his battle with cancer in September, aged 65. He had been an MP for Croydon North for two decades. Voters not registered will have until the 14th November to do so, as the by-election is on 29th November.
